Mother and Baby Yoga Classes - 2010 |

Yoga is the perfect exercise for a new mother and baby. During the nine months of pregnancy a woman’s body goes through many changes, so after the birth it is important to be patient and let the body settle into a new shape and find vitally and strength again. The work in the class focuses on stretching and releasing tight and tired muscles as well as slowly building up strength and stamina. Deep breathing releases stress and tiredness and there is always a little space for relaxation. The Babies join in as much as possible. Specific movements are done together with the babies often combining them with a familiar song. At the end of the class the is time for at hot drink and social time . Various topics for discussion are presented, such as sleeping, feeding, family life and how best to support a healthy growing baby. Guest teachers are brought in to present baby massage or alternative first aid ( herbs ,oils and homeopathy ). The class is very much a place for asking questions and getting support, as well as encouragement, so that you can experience parenting in a joyous and fulfilling way.
